Chartered Master Mariners' Annual Awards & Alumni Event 2022
On Wednesday 28th September 2022, our thirdChartered Master Mariners’ Annual Awards & Alumni Event took place onboard our Livery Hall, HQS WELLINGTON.
The event, which was sponsored by Seapeak, attracted people from across the maritime industry which came together to share in the enjoyment and give praise to the latest recipients of Chartership. The Guest of Honour was Mr Robert Courts MP, who has been and continues to be the maritime industry’s biggest supporter. He, along with the Master, Captain Robin Batt, presented the Charters to the six recipients. Once the Clerk had completed reading the citations, it was evident to all who witnessed, the remarkable careers and stories which has shaped them and why they were worthy of being granted Chartered status.

During his speech, Mr Courts said:
Quite rightly, this award carries the prestige it deserves, its recipients have demonstrated what value they have been adding to the industry across the globe and how they will continue to do so over time, including imparting their expertise and professional values to those who will follow them.
A massive congratulations to all the recipients and we look forward to hosting our fourth Annual Awards next year during London International Shipping Week 2023.
