New Website Launch

IMPORTANT MEMBERSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT

As part of the on-going changes, we are currently in the process of having a brand-new Content Management System and Customer Relationship Management Database being built to meet the current and future needs of the Company. Our current Microsoft Access database, ‘Neptune’, has an end date due to Microsoft gradually aging out the software support, therefore this update was inevitable. This will mean a new (and hopefully final) website for the Company. Some of the new features members will be able to experience include, but are not limited to:

  • paying subscriptions;
  • booking and paying for all HCMM events;
  • members-to-member messaging;
  • Court and Warden elections;
  • viewing cabin availability and making reservations;
  • Committee ‘Groups’ where all papers and communications be administered;
  • Outport ‘Groups’ where members can interact;
  • host Zoom meetings with a built-in seminar and conference software; and
  • members will be able to download the HCMM ‘App’, available on both iPhone and Android platforms.

This app will have all the functionalities that you will experience online, but the benefit of just being at your fingertips and receiving instant notifications. All mentee and mentor reports will be done via the new site as well as online joining applications. This website will become the main communication platform of the Honourable Company.

IMPORTANT – when the new website and membership database is ready to be launched, members will be sent an email inviting them to activate their account. We are anticipating to be live from February 2021, so please keep an eye out for this email towards the end January or beginning of February. If you have not received an email by mid-February, please email pa@hcmm.org.uk as it might be your email address we currently hold, is incorrect! You will then be redirected to the new website and requested to login in. Please follow the on-screen instructions. During this process you will be prompted to update all personal and emergency contact information as well as agreeing to the most up-to-date GDPR laws regarding data protection.

This also means that anyone who has signed up to this current website, launched in June 2020, will have their personal details and other content erased with the launch of the new website. The profiles on this site have never linked to our database and therefore, nothing major will be lost.

Please be patient with this launch as the office team will be managing the transfer of nearly 1,000 current members and mentees as well as historical data. Therefore, it would be wrong to expect no teething problems during the initial stages. I fervently believe that once we are live and the system is operating smoothly, you will see the increased benefits of being a member!
